Computer configurations that work well with n-Track

Post here configurations of computers that have proven to work well with n-Track or audio recording in general. Please include as much detail as possible, including soundcard/audio interfaces used, operating system, cpu, memory, motherboard, graphic card(s) and so on.

- Acer Aspire 5720, Core 2 Duo CPU, 2 Gb Ram, Windows Vista 32 bit, Realtek built-in soundcard. Laptop works well with n-Track although the soundcard is very noisy. Perhaps is a ground isolation problem as a similar noise happens with an USB soundcard plugged into the laptop (which isn't so noisy when used on other computers).

I post on the n-Track Forum as woxnerw I've been an n-Track user sense 1996. Beta build 889, or so..

My present setup consists of two computers.. A P-111 Intel ASUS CUSL2c Mainboard with an Intel 1.2 mhz. processor, 512 meg. of ram, The Operating System is Win XP Home/SP 2 v2600.., I will add/edit the specs. of this machine at a later date.. The other machine is a Dual Boot Intel/ASUS P4P800SE Mainboard with an Intel 1.7 mhz. processor, 1 gig. of ram. The operating systems are Win'98SE with a third party SP 2 installation.. AND.. XP Home SP2 v2600.. I will add/edit the specs. of this machine at a later date..
